On behalf of the Haymarket Bicycles / HomeVisit Cycling Team and HomeVisit.com, I'm very pleased to announce our first donation of all race winnings for the 2010 season to LIVESTRONG. When we founded the team, we set out to raise funds for LIVESTRONG in two ways: by donating funds equal to all of our winnings to demonstrate the team's commitment - and by accepting pledges to LIVESTRONG based on our race performance throughout the season.

Everyone knows there is not a lot of money to be won in amateur cycling. We race for the love of the sport and the challenge. Still, HomeVisit and the team is happy to be able to send $3,500 to LIVESTRONG in support of the world wide fight against cancer. We hope to finish the season strong and be able to present another check to the cause soon!

Here Is How You Can Join Us By Making A Pledge Through Our Team

We are accepting pledges to LIVESTRONG through our team web site based on our race performance for the season. Here is how it works:

  • We are out to achieve 100 top ten race results for this season.
  • We are accepting pledges for each top ten result we score, up to a maximum of 100.
  • So if you pledge $1 per top ten, you would be making a $100 donation to LIVESTRONG though our race results.
  • Our web site takes your pledge by secure credit card and you will be billed at the end of the season on September 30, 2010.
  • Make a pledge and dedicate your donation in remembrance or in support of someone fighting cancer.

>> We are looking for business sponsors for the team for 2011 to expand our charitable goals. For more information please contact us at bvaughan@homevisit.com.
